Stamascus Knife Works Corporation was incorporated in April of 1997 in the state of Delaware. It is a privately owned company doing business world wide. The owners and personnel that produce our knives and knife related materials have approximately 30 combined years of steel and knifemaking experience. They are full time knifemakers and steel producers, and you have their undivided attention. Like all companies, we are in the business to make a profit; however, we know we must give you the optimum amount of quality per unit price to exist as a company for the long run. Hand forged Benchmade Damascus knives of distinction

Established in the spring of 2002, Rapid River Knifeworks seems pre-destined to become the next great producer of high quality custom knives. When someone asks, "were you born in a barn?" they can truly say yes. Partners Scott Honkonen and Kris Duerson set up their first shop in the barn of Rick Duerson (Kris' father) just north of Rapid River, MI. With a lot of skill, a few pieces of machinery and some really big dreams, the guys developed a line of custom knives that combine beauty with strength and practical usability. They were confident that sportsmen and women would respond favorably to a line of high quality hunting and fishing knives that you can really use in the field without sacrificing the great looks of a knife you’d be proud to display on your mantle.

Hand forged custom knives and unique quality crafts created by Padre (Mike) & Coyote Woman (Debbie) at their remote log home in the mountains of North Idaho. He made his first knife in a High School Shop class in 1965. Forging the steel builds a tough, durable tool. 5160 high carbon spring steel or 15N20 bandsaw steel holds an edge and sharpens easily. Blades are flat ground, edge hardened and tempered so that tang/back of blade are not as hard as the cutting edge - for flexibility (not brittleness).

Full or hidden tang, antler or wood handles. Sturdy leather sheaths are included. Each is a beautiful working knife destined to become a family heirloom...
